Some parts impressed, others didn't
The beachfront location is fine! Staff provides excellent customer service, and the snorkeling experience was nothing short of lovely.
Unfortunately, the maintenance left a lot to be desired. The dining experience was inconsistent and some cleanliness issues were apparent in the accommodations.

The room was good-sized with big bed, ideal for me. Extra touches like a safe box, a mini-bar, and a sofa bed were a treat, staff were friendly and outstandingly accommodating. The location of the property was stunning and gorgeous, to the convenience store at Intercontinental...
Didn't like the area, it was a little dark.

Recommend it for couples seeking relaxation
We stayed in a beachfront bure which felt just like paradise, the view was amazing with crystal clear waters right outside our door. One evening, we ordered cocktails at the pool and the staff were great, bringing them right to our lounge chairs while we soaked in the sunset.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but worth it for the experience.

Staying in a Beach Front Bungalow was very nice, just steps away from the soft white sand. The snorkeling was amazing with vibrant fish and coral right by the shore. Generous meal sizes included divine Tandoori chicken. The friendly staff, especially the bartender Remi, enhanced our experience. While the breakfast options were a bit repetitive after a few days, the overall experience was still really good.

Is right next to the beach and very close to the Intercontinental Beach Resort.
My reservation was for a beach front bure and was not available when we got there.

Super cheap rooms (perfect if you're attending a wedding at the expensive intercontinental resort!!) 3 resorts lined in a row along Natadola beach - Yatule, then Natadola then Intercontintial Options of 1,2,3 bedroom bungalows - the 2 and 3 bedroom ones do not have a lounge room area. The 1 bedroom one has a lovely sized loungeroom with dining table (and for some reason the 2 that I saw have a single bedroom in the loungeroom - great if you're a couple with kids as they can stay in the single bed+sofas). Rosie is wonderful and helpful. Breakfast is reasonable.. Choice of 2 eggs, coffee and toast. If you want a buffet breakfast, try to crash the Intercontinetnal's one! Fijian style bungalows - unlike Intercontinential wher you can forget you're in Fiji! Free use of Intercontinental infinity pool, towels, beach volleyball court etc.. it's only a 5min walk. Yatule is closer to the wedding venues in Intercontinental than some of the intercontinental rooms!
Breakfast/dining area is fairly basic - could do with some decoration (but lovely beach front views). Bar area is also very basic and shabby looking (excellent lcd tv though) Road down into Yatule is windy, dusty and difficult to drive (compared to the beautifully paved road that takes you to Intercontinential!) My 2 bedder's kitchen smelt funny.. And didn't have a gas kitchen like the 1 bedders do. Kitchen pots/plates etc.. vary from room to room. Mine was missing a large pot lid.

I booked here because we had a family wedding at the adjacent Intercontinental and I didn't want to pay 5 star prices. I loved the location, the friendliness of the staff and that I had all I needed to make me comfortable. My brother and his wife stayed for the first few days in the second bedroom and were also very happy with Yatule. The facilities were fairly basic and not everything worked as expected, but that didn't matter and anything swish I needed I could stroll along to the Intercontinental and access their facilities. So vinaka to all the staff, I would stay there again.
The access road was very rough - some taxi drivers would not go on it, and the road along the beach was hard to walk on due to loose stones. No complaints though - there were awful floods in Fiji only a few months ago that would have damaged roads. I would have liked a brochure to be supplied with info about the resort and the surroundings - maybe that could be considered?
